DRAP's product record lists Wegovy FlexTouch, imported by Novo Nordisk, in five strengths from 0.25 to 2.4 mg, with a registration date of 4 February 2025. Its price field reads 'As per SRO' with no figure, so there is no approved price to quote for Wegovy in Lahore, and pharmacy prices may differ.

What Wegovy Is and How It Works
Wegovy contains semaglutide, which copies the GLP-1 hormone that regulates appetite, food intake and digestion.
Semaglutide also improves insulin secretion and reduces glucagon, so blood sugar is regulated better. In clinical trials, patients on Wegovy also saw improvements in cardiovascular risk and blood pressure.
Starting Wegovy at the Clinic
The first dose is 0.25 mg, and it rises in steps to the 2.4 mg maintenance dose over about 16 to 20 weeks.
Your BMI, medical history, current medicines and metabolic markers are reviewed before the first prescription. Scheduled reviews then allow dose adjustments, and blood tests track the metabolic response and rule out contraindications during treatment.
Wegovy Side Effects and DRAP's 2026 Eye Warning
The commonest side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation in the first weeks, and in February 2026 DRAP told registration holders to add a very rare eye condition to the label of every semaglutide medicine registered in Pakistan.
The condition is non-arteritic anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy, or NAION. DRAP's Safety Alert No. 65 of 6 February 2026 rates it as very rare, affecting up to 1 in 10,000 people, and anyone who suddenly loses vision should contact their doctor without delay.
Wegovy is FDA approved for chronic weight management, but it is not recommended for anyone with a personal or family history of thyroid cancer, pancreatitis or certain gut conditions. Most patients tolerate it well once the dose has been stepped up.
Storing a Wegovy Injection Pen in Lahore
An unopened Wegovy FlexTouch pen stays in the fridge at 2 to 8°C, and after first use it lasts 6 weeks kept below 30°C or in the fridge.
